The Champions for Life is a physical literacy program for children delivered in low socioeconomic schools and communities for children at higher risk across Québec. Children (ages 4 to 8 years old) play challenging games and learn to move well to succeed in sport and life.
Our program started as a pilot project in 6 schools back in 2013, and the feeling amongst our leadership team is that we’re just getting started! Lots of exciting developments are on the horizon as we continue to align ourselves to our mission and 8 core values.
We are thankful to our generous donors and the organizations who believed in us and from the start (Active for Life and Canadiens Children’s Foundation) and we are committed to getting better and doing more for the communities we serve.
Like many things in life, the road is seldom straight or flat. We are always on the lookout for mutually beneficial relationships that provide a win-win-win (foundation-partner-children).
In the coming months, we’ll be sharing our thoughts on how to create more opportunities to improve the physical literacy of the kids in our communities. We hope you enjoy our posts.
