Celebrate National Health and Fitness Day with our KAIZEN Kids Carnival

Saturday, June 3rd, is National Health and Fitness Day! The Champions for Life Foundation is excited to welcome children and their families to our FREE Kaizen Kids Carnival in the Borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro.

The Champions for Life Foundation, in collaboration with the Borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro, ParticipACTION, and West Island Community Shares, is delighted to invite children and their families to an exciting KAIZEN Kids Carnival. Taking place at Parc d'À-Ma-Baie in the Arrondissement de Pierrefonds-Roxboro Borough, this FREE event is a celebration of National Health and Fitness Day on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

This festive event promotes the exploration of fundamental movement skills.

The KAIZEN Kids Carnival promises an engaging experience filled with meaningful movement and physical activity for all participants. This festive event aims to promote the exploration of fundamental movement skills while highlighting the importance of developing physical literacy to lead an active lifestyle.

The carnival will feature various challenge stations encouraging children to engage in different physical activities while developing fundamental movement skills such as skipping, throwing, balance, and dribbling. These activities are designed to be educational and fun, ensuring children can discover the joys of being physically active.

One of the event's highlights is meeting and interacting with Champions for Life Ambassadors. These ambassadors include accomplished athletes who have competed on the world stage, inspiring children to pursue their dreams and embrace an active lifestyle.

"We believe that every child deserves the chance to experience the benefits of physical activity and to develop a lifelong love for movement," said David Arsenault, Founder and Executive Director of the Champions for Life Foundation. "By hosting our KAIZEN Kids Carnival, we aim to create a memorable experience that encourages children and their families to discover the joys of being active together."

The KAIZEN Kids Carnival is made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Champions for Life Foundation, the Borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro, ParticipACTION, and West Island Community Shares. Their shared vision of building a healthier and more active community has supported the creation of this event.

The ParticipACTION Community Challenge is a national physical activity and sport initiative that encourages everyone in Canada to get active throughout June in search of Canada’s Most Active Community. The challenge is open to all communities and individuals, ultimately recognizing Canada’s Most Active Community and awarding it with $100,000 to support local physical activity and sport initiatives. In addition to the national winner, there is also prizing for the most active community in each province and territory. Individuals can participate in the ParticipACTION Community Challenge by downloading and tracking their movement in the free ParticipACTION app throughout June, or by joining local Community Challenge activities.
