ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Champions for Life Foundation’s mission is to promote physical literacy among children so they can develop the enjoyment and skills needed to remain active throughout their lives.
The Little Champions Nunavik / Pigasuarsitiapiit Nunavimmi program is carried out in collaboration with Nunavik communities and aims to create, adapt, and deploy active, culturally grounded educational resources accessible in Inuktitut, French, and English for children aged 4 to 8.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision of the Director of Operations and the Program Manager, the Field Deployment Lead plays a central role in the on-the-ground implementation of the program.
The position involves coordinating visits to Nunavik, supporting field activities, collaborating with schools and community partners, and contributing to the adaptation of educational content. The role combines field coordination, relationship-building, and hands-on presence in Nunavik communities.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and coordinate field visits to Nunavik (logistics, travel, materials).
- Collaborate with schools, communities, and local partners before, during, and after visits.
- Actively participate in field visits and provide on-site logistical support.
- Co-facilitate workshops and support the training of local facilitators.
- Contribute to the cultural adaptation of content and the improvement of educational tools.
- Ensure follow-up, documentation, and post-visit reporting.
PROFILE SOUGHT
- Background in kinesiology, education, physical activity, social sciences, community intervention, or a related field.
- Experience in community-based or educational project deployment or coordination.
- Experience in Indigenous and/or northern contexts (strong asset).
- Excellent organizational, adaptability, and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in French and English (spoken and written).
