Champions for Life and Recess Guardians Join Forces to Empower Young Leaders in Canadian Schools.

Champions for Life Foundation and Recess Guardians are excited to announce their strategic partnership to empower future leaders in Canadian schools. The collaboration will introduce a groundbreaking program called Recess Champions, designed to equip children and youth in grades 4, 5 & 6 with the leadership skills to deliver impactful physical literacy experiences to their younger peers within their schools and communities.

Montreal, April 14, 2023- Montreal Canadiens defenceman Mike Matheson will visit St. Gabriel Elementary School in Pointe St. Charles (600, rue Dublin) on Monday, April 17 (10 am) to talk to students. He will do so as an ambassador of the Champions for Life Foundation, which empowers children to move well and build the skills, confidence, and motivation to be active for a lifetime.

My name is Caitlin Downey and this summer I worked for Champions for Life Foundation as a Program Leader. I had the privilege of working with the team on various projects, including leading our program at multiple camps. At the camps, we taught the children to become more physically literate by developing their fundamental movement skills.
Champions for Life Receives Jumpstart Sport Relief Fund Grant

We recently received confirmation that we are amongst 668 sport and recreation organizations nationally to be provided with grant support through Jumpstart’s Sport Relief Fund. We are beyond grateful to receive this news and recognize how positive an impact it will have on sport and recreation organizations, and ultimately, on kids across the country.
